Venerable Black and Decker were the first to market power tools to postwar home remodelers in 1949. This is the Home Utility 6″ circular saw “Model 1” – exact vintage unknown.
Motor removed for weight reduction, trigger click by does nothing, which is a good thing. No blade installed for obvious safety reasons but purchaser can install their own if placed away from small hands. Housing shows much heavy use. They don’t make them like this any more.
On marble base, 28 inches high, switch on socket.
