The WearEver story started in 1898 when Charles Martin Hall of Oberlin, Ohio developed an inexpensive process for making aluminum. The company eventually became Alcoa.
The WearEver aluminum product line was the first widely accepted aluminum-based cookware line. This pot was patented in 1902.
